The Madonna Stars are a team of players from Japan’s Women’s National Team, professional players from Japan Women’s Baseball League, and university and club team players.
The Japan women’s national baseball team is controlled by the Baseball Federation of Japan. It represents the nation in women’s international competition. The team is a member of the Baseball Federation of Asia.
Japan has won the IBAF Women’s Baseball World Cup four straight times (2008, 2010, 2012 and 2014). Japan is currently rated #1 in the IBAF World Rankings.
Part of the “Samurai Japan” mission includes continuing to strengthen the national team, fan marketing, evolve Japanese baseball, and bring progress to the culture of sports in the nation, while growing and prospering together as one with the people of Japan.
